well the Bible says so:
Colossians 1:24 Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ's afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church
Compared to:
Col 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
And clearly, one has to change the scripture to come to that conclusion that Jesus lacked in afflictions, and the Apostle Paul (and we) have to make up for those afflictions that Jesus did not receive...
That gives us a faith+works salvation...
I view it as the thing that is lacking is the individual.
With zero scripture reference...
A person has the choice to respond to Christ's suffering or not. Are all men and women going to be saved? No it is up to us to make that choice.
We do not have to suffer to get saved...
The bible interprets itself...
I will continue to pray that you come to know Christ.
Agreed.
