That’s because he was born and raised a pentacostal. He loved Swaggart, but the more he got into scripture the more he realized that Swaggart was wrong and the Catholic Church was right. Tim Staples is a great apologist for the Catholic faith, but my favorite is Dr. Scott Hahn. He was a protestant PHD theologian for years before he realized the the Catholic Church was where it was at. Without a doubt one of the smartest men around.
