Some are. So are some Christians. And Hindus. And Muslims. And Jews. And...
Its been open season on Christians for 2000 years. The difference now is that we have a pseudo Christian in the White House who refuses to speak up for Christians or defend Christians around the world as the slaughter moves forward. We had an anti Christian military that is actively working to purge Christians from its ranks in favor of militant homosexuals. Meanwhile, those militant homosexuals and Christians cannot coexist, the homosexuals will not allow it any more than Satan can forever coexist with God.
>> If an atheist organization is fair game for criticism for putting up a billboard rather than donating the money to help the poor, than so is a Christian organization.
Nonsense. The Atheist is not the agnostic. The Atheist attacks religious liberties.
Atheists are idiots.
“It is my considered belief that God doesnt exist. You are free to believe what you will, as am I. I am content to know that when I die, I will wink out of existence as will everyone else, whether they believe that or not. I find that comforting, strange as it may seem.”
I happen to strongly believe in God and Jesus and that a glorious heaven awaits. Now, lets think this out: If I am wrong, what have I lost? If you are wrong, what have you lost?
You know, being an atheist doesn’t mean you have to throw out rationality and logic.
I think you’ve done just that in asserting moral equivalence in the bill board example.
Do you assert the moral equivalency of a church billboard, say the one posted on this thread, and a bill board to proselytize for Islamic terrorism?
Both are proselytizing, right?
So they are the same morally, right?
I agree were that the case...but then, we're speaking of billboards such as these:
These are the same, would you not agree?
If you’re here to defend the atheism that exists to attack Christianity, take it somewhere else.
Not only are they lame, I seriously doubt they convert one single person. Are these in the Bible belt?
The vast majority of atheists in this country do no such thing.
Atheists are idiots.
Gee, blanket over-generalization much?

Gospel Mt 3:1-12
John the Baptist appeared, preaching in the desert of Judea
and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”
It was of him that the prophet Isaiah had spoken when he said:
A voice of one crying out in the desert,
Prepare the way of the Lord,
make straight his paths.
John wore clothing made of camel’s hair
and had a leather belt around his waist.
His food was locusts and wild honey.
At that time Jerusalem, all Judea,
and the whole region around the Jordan
were going out to him
and were being baptized by him in the Jordan River
as they acknowledged their sins.
When he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees
coming to his baptism, he said to them, “You brood of vipers!
Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
Produce good fruit as evidence of your repentance.
And do not presume to say to yourselves,
‘We have Abraham as our father.’
For I tell you,
God can raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
Even now the ax lies at the root of the trees.
Therefore every tree that does not bear good fruit
will be cut down and thrown into the fire.
I am baptizing you with water, for repentance,
but the one who is coming after me is mightier than I.
I am not worthy to carry his sandals.
He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
His winnowing fan is in his hand.
He will clear his threshing floor
and gather his wheat into his barn,
but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.”
Well, it’s more than that. If you don’t believe in God, why would you choose to be moral at all?
If this life is all you got, shouldn’t you be grabbing all you can get?
If your neighbor gets in the way, why wouldn’t you whack him?
To me, the Mafia represents true atheists.
I have to disagree with you on one point. I don’t think we are as “free to believe” as you suggest. I don’t think, at this moment, for example, that you could, if you wanted to, decide to believe in God. And those who believe cannot just decide to no longer believe.
I think belief is a process, and that we owe ourselves a self-examination about what and why we believe what we do. What do you think?

You just moved the goalposts. I never asserted that a church billboard and one proselytizing for Islamic terrorism are equivalent. That would be absurd, as the latter is advocating the murder of innocent people, and the former is not.
On the other hand, I will assert the equivalence of a billboard that proselytizes for atheism and one which proselytizes for Christianity.
>> The vast majority of atheists in this country do no such thing.
Kinda like the moderate Muslim that ignores the persecution of Christians.
I actually see one similar to these every day as I drive home from work in Denver.
Not only are they lame, I seriously doubt they convert one single person. Are these in the Bible belt?
They would be more popular there than in San Fransisco...
Thus not only is good and evil determined by the objectively baseless s (no transcendent material standard) moral reasoning of atheism, but according to its like jurisprudence, reward and punishment only occurs in this life, without an eternity to rectify the injustice that occurs therein (even if you disagree with that which is revealed in Scripture). Thus Hitler receives not recompense for his deeds, nor those who dies saving others from his atrocities.
I find atheists justify their rejection of the God of the Bible by arguing from a platform of superior morality, yet while not complaining about God wiping about the poor Canaanites or not wiping about modern day Canaanites today, their own moral universe is hardly comforting.
>> I will assert the equivalence of a billboard that proselytizes for atheism and one which proselytizes for Christianity.
Proselytizing atheism... brilliant. /s
