Any of you celebrate this feast with your children? What sort of gifts do you give?

Our kids are older now, but we surely gave small gifts in their shoes for a few years when they were younger, but the biggest gift we gave them in regard to St. Nick, was the truth from the get-go. http://www.fightingirishthomas.com/2006/12/claus-clause.html

Chocolate coins in gold foil is usually part of the mix. I usually pop out and dress as St. Nicholas (I borrow a red cassock from the parish along with a red cardboard miter—and the last few years our pastor has lent a cape that belonged to a previous pastor who was a Monsignor), and show up and talk about St. Nicholas, the Incarnation, and Arius. The older kids love it, even though by the age of four or five they are sure that it is me. The reactions of the younger ones are most enjoyable to watch—this year our second youngest was almost five [her birthday is today]), but our fifteen month old was hilarious to watch—who is this strange man???? That said, she did discover that she loves chocolate,.
