I always presumed that the verse about speaking to God meant that if there was no one around to interpret, like if I spoke the Dani language around someone who didn’t know it, then only god would or could understand it. But that it was still a human language.
I always thought that also but I dont think thats the case. Look here.
1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
That indicates to me that it is not just the tongues of men.
