These are the wages of the last 150 years or so, of jettisoning of Christianity and the foundational principles of Western civilization, by the intellectual leaders of the West.
I agree with you, that events have a high likelihood of becoming much, much worse, with violence, theft, immorality, lying, jealosies and so many other sinful conditions taking hold of so many people.
