The priest in that sketch was fooled too.

Satan undercuts monothesism. And where was this devil before humans were able to abstract “him” from their own minds, with abundant evidence for God in the universe, but not shred of it for the ol’ bugaboo.

Satan is an excuse for the moral failings of Man.

On the contrary. If there was never any evil, one would not understand what good and forgiveness was all about. God had to show us one so that we would understand the other.
