“There are those that do not and they are specifically to Israel.”

Paul tells us who the true Israel is, it is comprised of FAITH not Flesh. if someone wants to believe 19th century doctrinal innovations called dispensationalism, feel free.

Romans 9:6 for not all who are descended from Israel BELONG TO ISRAEL.

Romans 9:6 for not all who are descended from Israel BELONG TO ISRAEL....19th century doctrinal innovations called dispensationalism, feel free.

You provided half a verse from a full chapter. Recommend reading it all.

I am not appealing to dispensationalism to present the case that God is not finished with Israel as a people. I am pointing out that in Genesis 12 and 17 there are some promises specifically for a physical Israel. To take them all and say they belong to the Church would be inaccurate. The promise that matters spiritually for us (Gentiles--everyone) which brings us to Jesus Christ as Messiah and Lord there is no argument is important. What I am pointing out for example, the promise of the land of Canaan is for Israel as passed down from Abraham, Issac and Jacob (Israel). God said that was a promise, " for an everlasting possession." Stated right there in Genesis 17. We can either take it literally as a promise from God to Abraham or we can say it was figurative or allegory or that God takes away "everlasting" promises...May it never be!

That is my point. I am not defending a theory like dispensationalism. Sure it makes sense to me as I study the OT prophecies and see Israel mentioned again separate from the church in Revelation 7, but am I 100% CERTAIN of the dispensational timelines etc.? Of course not. I am CERTAIN of Genesis 17 and also know there are unfulfilled OT prophecies concerning Israel which put Israel in the land of Canaan promised to them. I am CERTAIN ALL of God's prophecies WILL come to pass.

That then takes me to, if all that was Israel is now Church, then those OT prophecies (e.g. Ezekiel, Zechariah et. al.) must be fulfilled through the Church. Look at ALL the major and minor prophets and let me know if all prophecies concerning Israel were fulfilled or you believe will be fulfilled in the form of the Church. Enter into that study with the knowledge that EVERY prophecy fulfilled already from the OT was done so literally and not figurtively or allegorically.

When we examine the yet to be fulfilled prophecies in the OT and substitute "Church" for "Israel" we start running into some inconsistencies. One of which is an everlasing promise of a physical land. If you believe Canaan, Palestine, Israel etc. belongs to the Vatican and not the Jewish people just say so, because it would have to, to fit your replacement theology.
