The Two Witnesses and Today's World Leaders
IFB ^ | 11/11/13

Posted on 11/11/2013 3:31:57 PM PST by The Ignorant Fisherman

What a horrifically EXPONENTIAL amazing time is just before us in which the world of today is absolutely oblivious to (1 Thess. 5:2-3). The Day of the Lord is at hand in which the godlessness, lawlessness and violence of man will reach its EXPONENTIAL zenith (2 Thess. 2:2:8-12, Rev. 6-19)! What is amazing is that the very world leaders we see today raging and conspiring against Israel and Almighty God's RIGHTEOUSNESS most likely will be the very ones who will give their power and authority to the upcoming beast (aka- Anti Christ - 2 Thess. 2:3-12, Rev. 13, 17:12-17).

These present day world leaders may also be the very ones who - during the first 3 1/2 years of the tribulation period - will seek to destroy Israel and Israel's Divine protectors (the TWO Lamp Stands of Almighty God- Rev. 11:2-6). It will be at the end of Almighty God's Two Witnesses 3 1/2 year ministry that these world leaders will rejoice greatly in their new godless leader's (aka -the Anti Christ) assassination of Almighty God's indestructible Two Witness's temporal demise (Rev. 11:2-7). So VEXED, so TORMENTED, so ENRAGE will this war ravished world and their leaders be at Almighty God's Two Witnesses and their RIGHTEOUS message that when their 3 1/2 year ministry finally comes to and end (Rev. 11:7) the world and its leaders will REJOICE exceedingly and give their FULL allegiance to the risen Beast (Anti Christ) who will now DOMINATE the world stage for the last 3 1/2 years (2 Thess. 2:8-12, Rev. 11:7-14, Rev. 13, Rev. 17:13-17).

The "SUPER NATURAL" of this seven year period will be as common as the "non-super natural" of our day. MOSES and ELIJAH (the Two Witnesses) will zealously protect Israel, EVEN in Israel's unbelieving state (Ezek. 39:26, Rev. 11:9) from the world’s enraged nations and demonic legions (Rev. 9, 11:5-6). It is our personal belief that Moses and Elijah (Almighty God's Two Witnesses) will be used of Almighty G-d to bring about the massive destruction of Gog of the land of Magog and his Islamic confederacy and armies (Ezek. 38-39, Rev.11:5-6).

As the Two Witnesses of Almighty God's ravished bodies lay in the streets of Jerusalem for 3 1/2 days, the remaining world will EXCEEDINGLY rejoice and praise the Beast saying, "Who can make war with the beast? - Rev. 13:1-4)". However... the Two Witnesses greatest VICTORY is about to be seen! Can you imagine the glorious godless mood of the world at this time when these Two Men are finally disposed of? In the world's godless hearts and minds there is now no limit to what their godless imaginations will take them, for they TRULY believe that they have finally rid the world of Almighty God and His Two Witnesses (Gen.11:6, 2 Thess. 2:8-12, Rev. 11:10-13).

"And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven." Rev. 11:10-13

With Moses and Elijah's resuscitation and ascension in front of all their enemies into Almighty God's presence they have now WONDROUSLY confirmed and affirmed all of what they have stated for the last 3 1/2 years! All what they have stated WILL come to pass and the Devil himself can NEVER stop it (Dan. 43-44, 7:13-14, Rev. 11:15, 17:17, 19:11:21, 20:1-10)! What is most astounding and amazing about this future event is that the godless world leaders and their peoples at this time will NOT repent, but sell their souls to the Anti Christ and partake of the abomination which leads to ETERNAL desolation all the way to the Battle of Armageddon and ETERNAL Damnation (Zech.14:1-4, 2 Thess. 2:8-12, Rev. 14:9-11, 16:13-16, 19:11-21).

WOE, WOE, WOE.... to those in that Day!

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

There was nothing to indicate that.

It’s not a usual circumstance.

No where has God said revelation ended. No where. Has the work of God ended? Is God not alive? God is not dead and His work is not finished therefore revelation has not ended.

Hebrews 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in times past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed Heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds.

Tell me Stourme, does Christ live? Does He still speak? Why would I need some 90 year old man with Alzheimers to speak exclusively for Him?

Yes, welcome to FR. With that, I have to disagree completely with you on your post 38. What were the prophets for? Read Luke 1:70 and Acts 3:21,24. Israel. "Spoken by the mouth of ALL (God's) holy prophets SINCE THE WORLD BEGAN." The specific goal of the prophetic program is the coming of Messiah and the establishment of His kingdom on earth. Read Dan. 2:28-45, Hosea 3:4,5 and Micah 4:1,2. God chose the Nation Israel as His earthly nation/agency. He gave to Israel the law. Gentile salvation was available only through the Nation Israel. God's PROPHECTIC PURPOSE is to restore the headship of Jesus Christ over planet earth THROUGH the instrumentality of a kingdom vested in the nation Israel.

That is the purpose of the prophets, both in the OT and the NT.

That leaves one other group of people God is dealing with: the Gentiles. That is the subject of the mystery given to Paul, the Apostle of the Gentiles (the uncircumcision). Read Rom. 16:25; Eph. 3:9 and Col. 1:26. These Scriptures speak of the mystery which was "kept secret SINCE THE WORLD BEGAN." Meaning, they were NOT given by God to any of the prophets.

There is a great difference between that which was "spoken by the mouth of all (God's) holy prophets SINCE the world began" and that which was "KEPT SECRET SINCE the world began." Basically, that is how God's word is divided: Prophecy and the Mystery.

If Israel was blinded and temporarily set aside (lo ammi) in Acts 28, and THEY are the subject of the prophecy program, then why would God continue in prophecy today? Just a simple question of common sense.

IF God is NOT dealing with the prophetic program today, what IS He dealing with? THE MYSTERY, given to Paul by the risen Christ in revelations to him for the building of the Body of Christ. That is what the MYSTERY is about. It is about God's reconciliation to man by the finished work of Christ. Grace. (2 Cor. 5:14-21). As Paul followed Christ's revelations to him, so we follow Paul to find our identity in Christ. Everything we need to be effective ambassadors for Christ, God has given us. (2 TIm. 2:15). All we must do is study His word, rightly divided and preach the good news of salvation by grace through faith in Christ's finished work on our behalf.

So, there is no need for prophecy today. We are NOT Israel, we have God's word for us, the Body of Christ, and we already know when we began, what our duties are, and when the dispensation of the grace of God will end, with the rapture of the Body of Christ.

So tell me what you think God has left out that He NOW needs to include for our edification.

If Prophecy has ceased because Israel has been set aside, and the Mystery has been completely revealed, where does your idea that His revelation has not ended belong?

5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

It's probably Enoch and Mary...The same thing happened to her (some say)...

the Scriptures are clear God the Holy Spirit works thru the Church to build the kingdom of God.

Why involve the scriptures into your fantasies???

The Holy Spirit works thru the heart of individual sinners to trust and accept Jesus as their Savior who are then added to his church/body of believers...The Holy Spirit then indwells the believer which is the Kingdom of God...

Luk_17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

I would suggest you pay less attention to eating the wafer and spend more time eating the words of God...

Of course God is not finished with “Israel”, but the question is “who is Israel”?

A cursory reading of Romans 11 will explain that Israel and the church are not the same thing...And when God is done with the church, he again turns to Israel, which is not the church...

we read the OT thru the new revelation contained in the NT.

That's seems to be about impossible and that is one of your large errors...You don't see much Gentile church in the Old Testament...The Old Testament and some of the New does not prophecy of the Gentile church but the literal, physical Kingdom that God has promised that will be fulfilled with his chosen people, which is not the Gentile church...

Paul’s letter to the Galatians 6:16 “peace and mercy be upon all who walk by this rule, upon the Israel of God.

the only ones who walk “by this rule” are Christians, therefore they are the Israel of God.

Gal 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
Gal 6:16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

So we see you guys first have to pervert the scriptures before you can add your perverted interpretation...

"So, there is no need for prophecy today. We are NOT Israel, we have God's word for us, the Body of Christ, and we already know when we began, what our duties are, and when the dispensation of the grace of God will end, with the rapture of the Body of Christ."

I've seen this argument many times and always for the same purpose; to try to explain why God doesn't talk to any living religious leader. In other words, it's the "God isn't talking to us so He doesn't talk to anyone" argument.

It's simply not the complicated explanation you've given.

God's purpose is to help anyone that wishes eternal life to achieve it. He doesn't open the heavens and reveal Himself because that would take away our free agency to choose. We would no longer need faith because we would have first hand knowledge.

So He raises men to be His mouth piece to the people. Those are the Prophets. They are not perfect, but they are capable of doing the work they've been assigned.

We just have to look at the prophets of the past and see what they did to know their purpose. They physically lead the people, they correct doctrine when people get them wrong, they teach people, they testify of God and His Son, the foretell the future so the people will have warning, they wield the power of God to bless the lives of other people, they administer the Church of God. And lots of other things.

Mainly a prophet is to give the instruction to people in their day. Because the world changes and God calls His prophets because He loves us and wants to guide us through difficult times.

A prime example of this is Jonah. Jonah was a prophet and was sent to call the people of Nineveh to repentance. Because Jonah went and did this an entire city was saved from destruction. Does God love us any less?

Paul was an Apostle and a prophet. Paul didn't spend his days prophesying and giving out new doctrine. He spent the majority of his time reminding and correcting the doctrine they already knew. Are we any different?

We need a prophet just like all those other people. Because our situations change and we need guidance directly from God. And God set it up so that would be the case. He's not ignoring us. He's involved directly with this world.

If God doesn't change then He has to be following His same pattern He's followed since Adam. Rev 11 just confirms that He is still following that same pattern.

God is directly involved with the BOdy of Christ through His written word. He has given us all we need in this time of His grace toward an unbelieving world. So, how do you tell who is from God and who is a charlatan? Where do you go in God’s word to confirm your beliefs?

Does God change? Does our situation in the world change?

After Christ ascended to heaven, did John not continue to prophesy through the power of God? If as you claim there were no more prophets after Christ, then why are you not calling Paul a false prophet? Why is the book of Revelation in the Bible and John not called a false prophet?

Do you deny that Rev 11 says there will be prophets on the earth in the last days?

You missed the important phrase: “Why would I need a 90 year old Alzheimers Prophet??..... You see stourme, the Holy Spirit speaks for the living Christ. No Christ is not dead He LIVES, yes we as individual Christians dream dreams, see visions and prophesy....

Acts 2:17 ESV

“‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;

If, as you say, Prophets are ‘vital,’ can you please post the last prophesy given by one of your Prophets, and the date?

Ecclesiastes 1:9

The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

Oh shoot! Maybe that verse wasn’t translated correctly. Perhaps your ‘prophet’ can tell us what it is really supposed to mean.

colorcountry,

To prophesy also means to witness. So, sure,

Thomas S. Monson Oct General Conference 2013

colorcountry, don't worry, you have your free agency. You can mock and scorn these prophets all you want. And when two of them are killed in Jerusalem you can mock, celebrate and even give gifts out to your family in celebration. Everyone is free to choose.

but ummm... good luck with that.

So many millions ‘witness’ of the true Christ. Why would I need a 90 year old Alzheimers Prophet, or a prophet who has many wives, if that is all he can do.

I HAVE chosen. I choose Christ who shed his blood to make save me and make me free. If you want to follow a 90 year old false profit to hell, good luck to you.
