You’re going to get some debate on identities. Moses is recorded to have died. Elijah was not. Enoch was not. Therefore a great many Christians believe Enoch and Elijah will be the two witnesses. Not a huge point of contention and certainly open to interpretation among fellow believers. And it will be, lol.
Ummm. We’re dealing with God here, it could be anyone. Moses is dead? No problem.
It’s appointed unto man once to die according to the Word of God. The two witnesses die. Moses is long dead. He’d die twice, contradicting scripture.
Enoch and Elijah are long dead too then, according to scripture.
No, they’re not. Maybe you could read it and find out.
The Bible never says if he is dead or alive.
Maybe you could read and find out.
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
Hebrews 11:5
may i suggest the following?
Israel - those “in Christ” see Galatians 3:29
the two witnesses = the Church. after nearly 2,000 years of witnessing to the world, the great falling away Paul tells us will occur in 2 Thessalonians 2 at the end of the world and the loosening of Satan from his chains has been happening for about 50 years now. Satan is sitting in the temple of God as the Church preaches a different Gospel than the true Faith. there is still a small remnant that holds the historic Apostolic Faith. the world is rejoicing as the Church is effectively dead, dead in preaching a Jesus that is not the ONLY way to God, but one of many ways to God. Judgement for this apostasy is at hand.
how is the world blessed? by national Israel, Jewish people?
or rather, are they blessed by the true Israel, the true offspring of Abraham, namely those in Christ?
the world is blessed by the Gospel, by proclaiming the good news that Jesus Christ came to live a sinless life and therefore was the perfect Lamb of God who died to take away the sins of the world. some Jews have historically accepted the Good News and became part of the true Israel of God. unfortunately most Hebrews rejected Jesus and according to Jesus in John 8:24, died in the sins.
what denomination are you?
It’s all about Israel ba..by!
Also the Church when Raptured millions will never see death, and many saw death and were raised from the dead to die again. It's best that we do not limit God and say He can not or will not. But I hear where you are coming from.
Thanks,
Dave
