For a start, rent the movie “The Scarlet and the Black” about Monsignor Hugh O’Flaherty and his work to rescue Jews during the holocaust. There were many many religious like him who risked their lives for the Jewish people - Also the Sisters in convents hid Jews.
It is a great movie.

An Irish-Catholic Schindler ... but why was he even necessary?
Had God or someone using His guidance not allowed one man to come to power in 1930s Germany, almost 50 million people would not have died in WWII.
