Put the same energy into telling the young that conservative values are the values of the cool rebels who kicked a monarch`s ass and made this country.I did. It went very well.

“SS number or military service number?”
He told me it was his SSN. I was in no position to dispute it. Just because he was in the Navy he still has a SSN and regardless of when it occurred being young, dumb and drunk is more pertinent.

The statistics that I have seen and am using, they all use adults, 25 and older.
While hearing about the people that a poster personally knows or hangs around with can be interesting, it doesn't really count as statistical fact for most discussions.

Just about everything.
Your courageous insight into what losers smokers are makes you my hero.
Explain that middle part again.

LOL, was that post intended for me?
You claimed that only 6% of republicans voted in your precinct, and connected that to conservatives disliking tattooing.
Now you are angrily raving nonsense, you made up the part about your precinct didn’t you, you don’t seem like the kind of guy who keeps up with turnout.
Your anger at conservatism and calling it “mindless hate” and a “freak club” is interesting, why are you a member of a conservative site then?

“Poor and uneducated” is code for “active-duty military.” Just ask John Kerry.

Statistics may or may not be accurate depending on who does the study, as we saw with "everyone loves Obamacare," but I'm getting off topic.
Your first post appeared to be a personal opinion that you were passing off as a fact about everyone. That's why I argued with it. If you had posted a statistic that backed up "peoples respect for a smoker dropping" that would have been different.
This study suggests that only about a quarter of Americans agree with your opinion. Whether or not that makes it a modern stigma is debatable.

One in Four Americans Have Less Respect for Smokers More than double what it is for fat people.
That is pretty amazing, even when first confronted with the question out of the blue, about a quarter of people agreed, I think more would if brought up in a quiet discussion, take out the 22% of people who smoke in that poll, and that 25% grows even more.
Only 12% of people have less respect for the fat.
33% of those who never smoked have less respect for smokers.
24% of ex-smokers have less respect for smokers.
5% of smokers have less respect for smokers.
Also from that poll.
*""Older Americans (aged 65 and older), those with at least a college degree, and upper-income Americans (those earning $75,000 or more annually) are among the least likely U.S. adults to smoke and, correspondingly, are among the most likely to report having less respect for smokers.""*

Everything goes away and comes around again. When the Global Economic Collapse hits, most people will have different priorities.I am just happy that the ones with obvious poor judgement have marked themselves as such... Good to know who is who when the collapse happens.

An interesting aspect of a great crisis is that it tends to overturn expectations and preconceptions.

Rational expectation, based upon the actual nature of human behavior, tends toward minimizing disappointment or surprise by how humans actually act when facing fight, flight, or freeze situations.

I think there’s something of a positive correlation between “people with tattoos” and “people who will help defend your perimeter.”
