For cryin’ out loud, whatsa matter with you people?

Lighthouse Trails...based in Montana...I highly doubt they are coming for you, verga. You ain’t that important!

Jehovah’s Witnesses..cult....Watchtower magazine.

Lighthouse knows a cult when it sees one and calls ‘em on it.

JWs are a cult and don’t know it.

Catholicism...well, let’s just say falls in the category as the JWs.

None of them and that is what we are specifically advocating against here...

You are doling exactly what I said. YOU are taking the word of some one else. Do you believe everything the media says about the TEA party, conservatives or anything else not liberal?

where on Earth did you come up with all those errant Popes.....oh, that's right....from the Catholic Church....we do tend to correct our own errors.

When?

That's quite a list covering quite a time span. Just how long is it supposed to take?

I'll tell you, with what I see in the way of reaction about your current pope, it sure isn't an expedient process.

jodyel:My point is that one doesn’t have to be involved in a church building or religion to be a born again Christian. But some think you must. I am here to say it ain’t so.

tc:very sadly, you are wrong...Christ said so.

Where? Chapter and verse, please.....

Psalm 63

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
2 So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
beholding your power and glory.
3 Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
4 So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands.

5 My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,
and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
6 when I remember you upon my bed,
and meditate on you in the watches of the night;
7 for you have been my help,
and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.
8 My soul clings to you;
your right hand upholds me.

9 But those who seek to destroy my life
shall go down into the depths of the earth;
10 they shall be given over to the power of the sword;
they shall be a portion for jackals.
11 But the king shall rejoice in God;
all who swear by him shall exult,
for the mouths of liars will be stopped.

salvation is ... complete at the time it is given.

with fear and trembling work out your salvation (Phil. 2:12)

labour the more, that by good works you may make sure your calling and election (2 Peter 1:10)

If you have an interest in Christ perhaps it would be a good idea to read the Holy Bible every once in a while before you post idiocies like that.

whose knowledge of Jesus is true AND COMPLETE

Any canonized Catholic saint would posses such knowledge, and anyone can become a Catholic saint if he wanted to.

An ignorant heathen can, perhaps be saved through ignorance and good works alone, but not someone bashing the Holy Church of God daily on the Internet.

Perhaps but it was not as crystal clear as it should have been from a believer

Oh come on now...

I'm a 'believer'; and I can get a hundred ahems that my posts are not always crystal clear!

Neither would Stanley be, the way I understand it, should he conform to clear Biblical standards, by recognizing that God has dismissed him from the pastoral, elder, or deacon roles, accepting this state, and continuing on in celibacy.

This is my only concern - your understanding.

I've not seen the 'clear' standards that you have, evidently, plainly seen.

...St. Peter was singled out for the leadership in the Catholic Church ...

Only retroactively; BY the 'church'.

Eh? Indeed!

I will not judge Stanley on what he did or did not 'do' only by looking at the results.

I know of at least FIVE blind men that came up with differing answers to what an elephant was.

May I inject myself into your dialogue with others, to ask if you have received the baptism into discipleship, and are at least a regular constituent and participant of a local assembly of regenerated believers, engaged regularly in the Remembrance Supper?

The yearly JEWISH one or the newly created Christian one?

And, BTW, what does 'regularly' mean?

Good thing that HE came along; for who knows WHERE your precious church would be without the COUNTER reformation!
