This does not mean that earlier Elizabeth meant God. She meant Messiah. Jew’s did not believe Messiah would be God. Nor do they today.
A good point, Would a devout Jewish woman refer to the Messiah as the One True God? I don’t think so. That would likely merit the death penalty.
