My darling wife was a “cradle Catholic” and walked away from her faith in the 60s during the hippie days. Three years ago she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given just a few months to live. While I was not Catholic or a church goer, I guess I was what some call spiritual. Anyway, not long after my wife’s diagnosis, a friend of hers brought over a statue of the Holy Mother. My wife instantly brightened and held it close. Not long after I visited the local priest and he came to our house and took 40 years worth of Confession from her. Being back with her Faith gave my wife the strength to face her trial. I saw the peace and love that Mary shared with my girl. She passed gently not long after. That love and hope led a hopeless sinner (me) to convert to the Catholic Church. The Holy Virgin led me to her Son and I was forgiven. It really is never too late.

people are not objecting that certain chritian role models can’t help people find Christ. For certain great Christians have inspired and pointed people to the Savior, and from that, others go on to point others to Christ.

we object to them saying they are the only way you come to God, you have to go through them. this whole consecrating the world to Mary’s heart deal is such an issue.

Jesus said HE is the door. HE is the narrow path. HE is the way, the truth and the life and NO one comes to the Father but by HIM. Others can point you to Him, but they don’t get you to God.

Condolences on your loss.

I have heard from a number of people that work in hospitals (doctors, nurses) that "Catholics die best."
