“The suffering Christ within them.”

Hmm? This isn’t a sensible answer to me. I asked what I am denying that they deserve to be given. Christ is not something I have the power to give anyone, so I can’t be accuse of denying it to them.

“You have heard of the stigmata, correct? Do you think it happens because the men and women who bore it, are stabbing themselves in the morning for effect?”

Maybe. I don’t know the explanation, and I don’t really care. Seeking after signs and wonders is not what God told us to do. It’s inherently a risky proposition, since Satan and his demons have the power to counterfeit miracles as well.

Of course Satan can trick one, I agree, but couldn't he also be tricking non-Catholics everywhere to not look into the Catholics bearing the stigmata because he could be the trickster behind it all?

And, of course, one way of seeing it is not the devil causing the stigmata in Pio or Gemma Galgani, for instance, is because they are saintly people who have only brought folks to Christ.

For instance [on the flipside], if our leader started levitating (as saints have done), who do you think would be behind it all?
