What a joke. A bunch of celibate men telling married couples how to have a good marriage and good family.

My husband has never been pregnant, yet when I was pregnant he was pretty good at reminding me of the big picture, the precious life I was carrying, when I was deep into the physical discomfort and impatience. I’ll bet there are some priests whose respect for the big picture of marriage, which they cannot themselves participate in, is just what some couples might need in a moment of despair.

No joke at all. Do you know anyone who has trouble with their marriage? Whom did they seek to help them out? Did it work well? How much did they pay? And are they still lovingly together?

We know two very holy priests who come from strong Catholic families [lots of married siblings too], whose parents are very-much still together, and always will be. Priests that come from such backgrounds know ALL about what it takes to make a marriage work. And they don't charge the couples they help. And probably don't watch their watches for twenty minutes straight [toward the end of the hour] either...

As I recall, Jesus was also celibate.
