No He did not. He commanded, them to do it

now you get....He commanded them to do IT....consecrate bread and wine into His body and blood....why is irrelevant.

He commanded them to share bread and wine as a symbolic partaking in his memory. We do. We just reject the magic thinking that arose much later.
