Lots of quotes from the OT followed by a HUGE GAP to John 1. Am I to understand that Evangelical ministers ignore John 6?

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
You see, John 6 includes the words of Jesus saying that “the flesh profiteth nothing” and that “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”. Notice that “flesh profiteth nothing” part?
Again, after Christ said “the flesh profiteth nothing” why do Catholics still focus on the flesh?
