The message on the sign outside of St. John's United Methodist Church in Nashville, Tenn., has sparked a debate about homosexuality.

Of course that was his intention.

Sure he didn’t intend to cause controversy.

"his intention"
He's backpeddling fast. How else did he think people would interpret a sign like that. He might has well have put up a sign saying "Heather Has Two Mommies, and She Turned Out Fine."

The new pope is a fine example of, well really 5th column work. He recently stated that you don’t need to believe in God to get to heaven. I guess he’s not read the Bible in a while. Now I hear he wants to soften the church’s stand on abortion....

We all have two dads, one earthly and one Heavenly, one maybe present and the other always present. And Jesus had a Godly mom, too, unlike what those faith-revisionists are promoting.

Suuuuuure that was his intention...
Throw the vile pastor out! I am sick of the devilish garbage being peddled by so called pastors these days. It’s a rot and it’s pervasive.

Perhaps the pastor isn’t familiar with what the Scriptures say about liars...he knows EXACTLY what he was doing.

I strongly advise you to go directly tot he source rather than trusting anything the MSM says about him of the Church.

Obviously Campbell is a liar. Therefore unworthy to lead a church.

I was willing to cut the pastor a break until this quote:
I think, part of the best outcome, is that we began to have some conversation and learn from a different perspective. Whether we agree or disagree is not the issue
Doesn't sound much like a desire to transform hearts. I wonder if he has one of those "Coexist" bumper sticker on his car.

"Many people have interpreted the message, which refers to God and Joseph, to be a statement about gay and lesbian parents. But Bill Campbell, pastor of St. John's
United Methodist Church in Nashville..."
That told me all I need to know. It is a profligate cult. Of course this was his intention.

Many people have interpreted the message, which refers to God and Joseph, to be a statement about gay and lesbian parents. But Bill Campbell, pastor of St. John's United Methodist Church in Nashville, told CP that wasn't his intention. Right. I guess lying though your teeth about your intentions is an actual class at Methodist Minister School. I wonder how many credit hours it is. As an aside, I have to mention it comes as no surprise to me this would be a Methodist.

Just drove by a church (Lutheran?) that had the same thing on their sign!!! Seattle area (of course!).
Of course, Jesus was raised by a mother and father. I was thinking it was more akin to Mary being “raped”, but deciding to keep the baby rather than abort it, and Joseph being a supportive husband and father.
