I would certainly ask a Godly person to pray for me, but I would NEVER pray for help or give thanks to anyone else except my Dad in heaven or my King, or the Holy Spirit. NEVER. God receives ALL the glory. Period.
I would certainly ask a Godly person to pray for me...Yes, the saints are only intercessors. Just like the Godly person you would ask pray for you. Anything the saints "accomplish" can only be done through the allowance (the power!) of Christ the King, your Dad in heaven. I think Protestants (and other non-Catholic denoms) misinterpret intercessory prayer, because many Catholics (by way of a shortcut), say they are praying to this saint or that. Other Catholics understand they are referring to intercessory prayer. Other denominations usually do not, as they jump all over this "shortcut."
