Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.<<

They were even commended for checking scripture to see if what Paul was teaching was according to scripture. Catholics don’t have the sense to check what the guys in pagan hats teach.
