The Catholic bashers just make me sick. I didn’t realize they existed until just last night. One of them even posted a nasty comment on a Catholic caucus thread this morning! My comments keep getting removed immediately with the claim that they are personal attacks, yet their personal attack comments remain. It took almost 30 minutes to get the anti-Catholic troll’s comment removed from the Catholic caucus thread.

As I keep writing: Their brand of Christianity is one of which I have no desire to belong. I can’t imagine what their worship services are like. If their idea of bring sheep to the flock is creeping anonymous posters on a chat site then attacking their beliefs then that is sad for them.

With everything going on in our country and around the globe, one would think that their energies might be turned elsewhere. Perhaps they should take their tactics to the Middle East and get some converts there.

And you don’t think your last post was bashing non-catholics? Do you not see the irony of it all? WE “bash”. You all “comment”. It is pitiful.

I couldn’t agree more! I doubt converts will come to them since most readers are probably aghast at the vitriol that they spew. I used to be gentle with them, kind, compassionate, understanding; all in the name of ecumenism... until I was in some doozy threads.

Haters gonna hate! And birds of a feather will flock together. All I can do as a Catholic is continue to state the truth: we also love the Bible, we do good works, we follow Christ, and we possess something beyond price: the Eucharist Christ left us. Catholics can no longer keep the Good News under a bushel for fear of hurting people’s feelings. We’ve got to educate these sad souls who’ve been fed lies like pablum.

We’ve got something great and we should tell anyone who will listen. Didn’t St. Paul tell us to be on fire with it? Many Protestants don’t know Luther wrote in his treatise against “The Mass and the Ordination of Priests” of a midnight encounter with Lucifer, during which the devil spoke against the Mass, Mary, and the saints, but gave Luther unqualified approval for his new, man-made doctrine of “faith alone.” Wake up call!!! Lucifer likes Sola Scriptura! If the devil likes what you’re doing, you’d better rethink, I think.

False religiosity is obvious. Spirituality is obvious. And if you’re sure about your religion, you don’t need to hate. Your last paragraph is exactly why I’m not on FR much anymore: sound and fury signifying nothing. It’s time to make the world better. God bless you.
