After all like this website, he went where the sinner's are / where.
Kudo's for stepping into the belly of the beast, and trying to change hearts and minds....
The New Evangelism.
We saw Craig Gross give a compelling message at Cornwall Church in Bellingham, WA some months ago. The accountability software works, though it will flag things that you know are “safe” sites, like Drugs.com, just because of the title. He speaks the truth when he says “Porn kills”. If you can see him, do, and if you can, support him in his ministry.
This is very original and creative. May God bless his efforts, protect him and his family, and increase his harvest.
Churches and religious groups tend to respond to popular trends.
Its no surprise that this kind of church exists.
I read on “The Blaze” recently that it appears online porn is centered in the United States and The Netherlands.
My religious tradition has in its book the words of Jesus speaking about being “doers of the Word” and not just hearing it.
Getting hooked on pills, porn, food, credit cards, video games etc. etc. is symptomatic of deep disconnection from God.
I have found that other patterns need to change beyond the addictive behavior.
I find working the Twelve Steps enabling me to be closer to my God (Jesus) than just engaging in emotional religious exercises that involve no ‘change of heart’.
The “Big Book” of Alcoholics Anonymous says “we have stopped fighting anyone or anything”.
I have to get beyond stopping “doing the bad thing” with booze, drugs etc. etc.
I don't remember the name of the pastor from XXXChurch that spoke at the church I attend last summer, but I was very impressed with him, how he conveyed Jesus' message and that he wasn't afraid to take that message to those who probably really do need it the most.
He/XXXChurch are doing wonderful work, kudos to them.
lj, here’s an interesting ping for your Moral Absolutes Ping List; something positive for a change....
Good luck to them. This is more of an issue with younger generations than many realize.
