I love listening to Pastor Bob Coy....he's the guy in the pink shirt. I look forward to his Bible classes every chance I get.
I have to admit I am not much on listening to people preach or talk with the exception of Charles Stanley. I would prefer to read a sermon and be able to take my time and understand as I go along.
And to be a real dullsville Christian, I am not at all into the singing and music at the beginning nor all the advertising of various stuff going on at said church. I guess I’d make a good monk if I were male. :)
I like peace and quiet and not all the folderol of a church service. I took a three-year period in 1993-1996 and did nothing but immerse myself in Scripture so I have a good understanding....probably more than the average Joe on the street....especially today’s streets. So I get very little from today’s preachers.
I do like to go back and read the sermons of the past evangelical preachers like Spurgeon and others. I always learn something from them. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
