>>Yes, anyone can be saved if he “does the will of God in accordance with his understanding of it”.<<

John 14: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

If they don’t believe on Jesus they will not be saved. Now show me where the apostles taught that “anyone can be saved if he does the will of God in accordance with his understanding of it”. If you can’t.

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:8-9

It doesn't because salvation is not promised to the unbaptized, or to those who don't receive Catholic Communion. It is an exception if they are saved.
