This again is all “your” interpretation of scripture only. There were no tape-recorders around when Christ spoke. This was all part of the oral tradition written some 30-40 years after the death of Christ. The were a number of “gospels” out there and it were the early Catholic Church fathers who sorted things out. The Bible did not fall out of the sky. It was the continuity of Catholic thought, ritual, practice, and belief sustained by early Church theologians, saints, and martyrs that have nourished its continuity.

Mary is the purest and most perfect of all God’s creation on heaven and earth. While the remains of all the apostles were located (all but John martyrs), Mary’s was not. We have saints whose bodies remain incorrupt as a heavenly sign of their earthly holiness. Mary’s body was not to be fed on by worms and maggots in a state of decay. Her son who raised Lazarus and confirmed to the murderous thief on his right that “this day thou shall be with Me in paradise,” would not allow His beloved Mother in whose womb He gestated for none months would not allow her to be buried in a state of decay. Thus Catholic belief is based on history and tradition is that she was assumed body and soul into Heaven. This is taught by the successor to St. Peter to whom was given the Great Commission, to go forth and teach ONE truth. The miracle of Mary is the miracle of the Incarnation.

Stop quoting and interpreting Scriptural verses to us Catholics. This is what low-information Protestant Christians like Joel Osteen, Billy Graham, Rev. Wright, David Koresh, and all the rest of pastors in these “black” churches keep sophomorically preaching. They try doing from age to age as unfortunate spawns of the curse of the Reformation. Giving the Catholic Church “your” interpretation of Scripture is like telling Einstein how to solve a problem in geometry after he first laid out the theorem. The early Church laid out the books were call the Bible and the successors to Peter have instructed us on its meaning beginning with the central truth of the living presence of the Christ in the Holy Eucharist. Even the leading Lutheran theologian in this continent, Richard Newhaus converted to Catholicism.

The greatest and most renowned theologians from Aquinas, Augustine, Benedict XVI to Cardinal Henry Newman are just a few of the vast constellation of Biblical scholars of the Church. Thus pedantic references to scripture is the stuff of your corner street FourSquare Church pastor. Those of us trained in scripture, history, tradition, revelation, and sacred liturgy don’t need this.

Steel, you are as lost as your pagan cult... I would almost think you are lampooning catholics in stereotype.... it would be almost too much of a typecast... Good luck with your queen of heaven and pagan sun god worship.Fatima has got a devoted fan in you... exodus 20 would be a good start for you to brush up on if you want more ‘trusted’ scripture.. heck any of the Torah would do a blind soul some good....
