good for your father to keep on trucking...my father lived to be 88 and was still in his own apartment. He went fast with acute leukemia. 10 days from diagnosis...he wasn't the type to hang around. refused chemo, refused blood transfusion, I being a old nurse ran interference for him at the hospital. He told me what he wanted and didn't want and I saw to it his wishes were respected. If you can do it, its good to talk to your father and find out what he wants and doesn't want. Don't be afraid to be firm with nurses and doctors if what they want is not what he wants..
