One of them is to straighten my act up.

In the Book of 2 Samuel 11: 1 ff, we have the story of David and Bathsheba. David was the king. She was wife of Uriah, the Hittite, a soldier in David's armies. David was smitten of her and slept (fornicated) with her, whereby she became pregnant. David placed Uriah at the battle front where he surely would die, and did.

God chose David. God knew David's heart, and life, if you believe in God's eternity. In Acts 13:22, Paul quotes God: 2... God testified concerning him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.’

Did David do everything God wanted him to do? David lost that son, but do you think God was in error?

In several of your posts, you have hinted that I may not know God. I have news for you. He is my Father, Brother, and Redeemer.

You set yourself as a judge, but you can't even properly divine the Word. You claim scholarship, but cannot even read plain words.

Please know that I will pray for the scales to come off your eyes! Satan has set a trap, and it seems to me that you have stepped right into it. "Pride goeth before a fall", ya' know! Wine can only make you stumble...

I am not the one who can assure your salvation, and I don't pretend to. My statements reflect that. Only you and God know, and if you, as a graduate of Elim, I presume that you may believe as those whose theology is derived of that of Jakob Arminius. If so, and if Arminianism is true, your salvation is not secure. Therefore I must speak to you with that in mind. You easily jump to conclusions, and are now accusing me of being your judge. I am not, but if your treatment of Scripture shows flaws that undermine your soteriology, I must treat you as though you are not saved, no matter what you say, in the hope that you may indeed be moved to an assurance of irreversible spiritual birth.

You may find this offensive and provoking a retort, but that wouldn't improve your position, one way or the other.

Sir, if I were you, I'd be very careful in talking about pride in someone else. Don't confuse it with a firm assurance.
