The womans veil in Hebrew and the face covering Moses wore are two different terms, tsaiph and masveh respectively. There is yet a different word for the veil for the ark of the covenant, that being poreketh.

Wasn’t it true that the veil of the Temple was so strongly woven that oxen teams pulling in four directions could not rip it, and yet it was torn in two from top to bottom at the moment of Jesus’ death?

Thank you for the clarification. As to the veil for the ark of the covenant, I have heard that only one priest could enter through the poreketh to do the incense offering. According to what I was told, a rope was tied around the ankle of the priest, in order to retrieve him from the sanctuary, should some illness, or worse, befall him. Is there any validity to this?
