Well, you have part of this correct. The critical spirit mocks the Spirit of God...and tempts Him. That is why I am speaking about the drivel, the foolishness, the error you call "tongues", not the Spirit. The death, burial, resurrection of the Savior is not enough for the fool...they need a sign.

Did Peter respond with, “Accept the Lord as your personal saviour.” ?? Or...did he think of them as ‘fools’ because they were looking for something they must do, AFTER being preached to of the death, buriel, and resurrection?

Now, I feel confident that you two (Dutchboy88 and metmom) believe in repentance, and that there is indeed a gift of the Holy Ghost. In the middle of that verse is an instruction that I pose to you in a question:

I NEEDED a SAVIOR and I have ONE. So stop speaking dribble about 'need' when it is GOD who GIVES the GIFT of tongues and HE SAYS it is a sign. Not being able to even get that right, you should be concerned. IMO, People who have a NEED to twist what is written are showing a sign they have a NEED for attention.
