May the God of Peace be with you and your family as you care for little Eli. I ask Jesus to show himself powerful on your behalf and on behalf of Eli. May the cancer be defeated.

With grandsons just the age of little Eli—I can only imagine the angst and heartbreak to have him in this situation. Such precious little ones should not have to suffer. I am praying for Eli right now—knowing that Our Blessed Lord is great and good, and so merciful. God bless you all—

That age is so, so innocent. They know just enough to be unbelievably cute in their manners, speech, thoughts, and ideas....and they’re already cute in appearance.
It is such a heart melting combination that it leaves you praising God for such a beautiful creation He came up with.

Prayer to Saint Peregrine
O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.
For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of little Eli whom we entrust to you.
Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.

Our family will pray for Eli. I am so sorry whenever an innocent child must deal with a serious illness. Our prayer will be that his doctors’ hands will be guided to cure him, and he will be stronger than ever following this ordeal.
I thought you might be heartened to read this story of a young, 20-something-year-old man who is alive today after he was diagnosed with leukemia (a different type of cancer, but a frightening one) at age three, and then diagnosed again at age seven:
