So what is happening today has been foretold. It is occurring because God is allowing it to occur. Human’s bent nature is becoming less constrained. I believe we are on a path akin to ‘the days of Noah’ with the results being a wee bit more permanent.
There is an important distinction between some sins. Technically, anything we do which misses the mark in His Plan is qualified as sin. There are some sinful lifestyles, though, which occur as a consequence of further degeneration in our thinking, if we continually deny what He provides.
Romans 1 documents a situation where people not only rejected God, but He then allowed them to further degenerate in their thinking, from their own volition, into reprobate minds. They aren’t merely a comparative thinking process or alternate lifestyle. They simply defile themselves wallowing in an absence of integrity and turning themselves over to vile affections and have pleasure in those who share their corruption.
This time not of flood water, but of fire.
