Bad enough that James Earl Carter, Jr. is the worst president this country has had not named James Buchanan or Barack Obama, but he is also an anti-Catholic bigot as his latest mind droppings amply demonstrate:
Former US President Jimmy Carter has disclosed that he had angry exchanges with Pope John Paul II about liberation theology and about the ordination of women.
The former president said that he complained to the Pontiff about the Churchs perpetuation of the subservience of women while Blessed John Paul II was visiting the US in 1978, and there was more harshness when we turned to the subject of liberation theology. Carter said that he classified the Pope as a fundamentalist, placing him in that category along with Irans late Ayatollah Khomeini.
In the same interview Carter said that it is very fine for gay people to be married in civil ceremonies, although he suggestedmaybe arbitrarilythat churches should not be required by law to solemnize same-sex unions.

God needs to call Jimmah up to answer for his rudeness and ignorance.
Soon.
On the other hand, putting JPII in the same category with Bernard Law is absolutely a fair cop.
JpII is at least a mixed bag of beautific and horrific. There is nothing good in the peanut farmer’s resume.
Dang. When I first saw jimmah was in the news I kinda thought he and nellie mandeli might be sharing a room. I don’t suppose this meddlesome asshat will ever go away.
Over here, Jimmy.
Being criticized by Jimmy Carter is a badge of honor.
Worst President? There’s a serious contest going on in recent times for worst President.
It’s getting tougher and tougher to win the Worst President Prize.
Not to mention Woodrow Wilson, FDR, JFK, and LBJ.
Jimmy Carter is feeling a little spunky now he has a worse socialist in the white hut.
Carter said that he classified the Pope as a fundamentalist, placing him in that category along with Irans late Ayatollah Khomeini.
Can someone explain how Jimmy Carter , a non Catholic, gets to criticize the church?
Speaking of the Ayatollah, why didn't you stand up to him the same way during the hostage crisis , huh Jimmuh????
So, was Jimmy supporting Liberation Theology, or opposing it?
“angry exchanges with Pope”
most people would have had more respect for the Pope.
But not this marxist idiot!
And therein lies the rub. Marriage (a religious act), makes holy the union of a man and a woman. Man cannot make holy what God has declared as not being so.
I’m sure that Jimmy’s concerns weighed heavily with the Pope.
Don’t forget he’s also a muzzie lovin anti-semite.
Jimmy Carter is like John Kerry or Joe Biden
Whatever the “issue of the day” is, you can always count on them to be exactly 100% wrong. They are like a compass - It always points North, so you know exactly which direction is South.
Is it possible to be just an "anti-Catholic", without also being an "anti-Catholic bigot"?
Oh !!! He will go away. we all do.
In Jimmy’s case it will be no great loss.
There’s a fine line which you straddle.
