Wow! Is Bono being as brave as it seems,,,speaking like this.
Maybe he can't get over 2004...or maybe he wouldn't have mentioned GWB anyway.
There, fixed it.
African AIDS never was. What a joke.
Bush’s Fault!
“the biblical humanity in tackling leprosy”
It’s ‘Hug A Leper’ day? What color is the ribbon?
“Hey!” cried the little leper boy. “You wanna piece of me?”
No. No, I don’t, said I.
And maybe the rest of the world will be unappreciative, but I'm not comfortable spending that money to be loved anyway. It was a good deed and that's enough.
Impossible, for two decades, Bono's leftie buddies have confirmed that Bush is at fault for the plight of everything on the planet, and Bono never said a word.
I am not a Christian, but any objective observer has to admit they do a bunch of good in this world.
Whether or not you agree with Bush or Bono on this issue one thing is certain, Bush will never claim credit for this...unlike Obama where everything is me, me, me!
I know it’s fashionable to bash Bono and anyone like him here, but credit where due. This is not the first time he’s praised GWB and won’t be the last, the man is sincere if nothing else. And when you look at all the wasted lives, the excesses, personal failure, families and children ruined by the true idiots in the entertainment industry, Bono stands above the vast majority.
Plus, U2 rocks.
I remember him speaking up for Bush back in the day.
It seems some do some intellectual honesty in them.
Much kudos to Bono.
Here’s another recent interview:

To my surprise, I am learning that he’s a pretty good fellow.
It's a rhetorical question. I know the answer. So do you.
Africa AIDS/development is about globalism.
Mr. Bono is simply a front man for the financial oligarchy, like most folks in the “entertainment” (propaganda/mind control) industry.
This is a main agenda of globalism, the Bushes love it, the Clintons love it, most Congressmen love it, investment bankers love it, many large corporations love it, the “foundations” love it, etc., etc.
I’ve posted on this in the past, the NIE delivered to Clinton in early 2000, the Cairo conference in 1995 (every 10 years), etc.

This is why anyone working on behalf of the financial oligarchy (globalism) is all “let’s get along” on this issue.
Ask David Rockefeller about it. Ask Bill Gates and Buffet-Hathaway about it.
We’re just chickens in a henhouse to those people; they’re concerned if the “flock” gets too big. Also, diving into Africa - like any undeveloped area - is a great money-making opportunity. To understand how (it’s a little strange seeing as how the people are generally so poor there) the money is made takes a little research.
Thank you Bono, for giving credit where credit is due.
Now, that's an outstanding achievement, being able to say/sing/show something that gets past the skeptic/ atheist's initial resistance, but which unfolds its whole story if they keep paying attention.
An outstanding example of this --- I think --- is the video and song, "Magnificent" (YouTube link).
At first glance it seems like just the cultural assertiveness of Western European rockers rocking in Morocco, striding through an Arab/Muslim city.
Then it seems like a promise that "Western culture" will life the veil of Arab traditionalism and liberate Muslim people.
Then, if you pay attention to the lyrics, you see layer after layer of Biblical imagery in the Magnificent lyrics (Link)
And when you see it, you can't un-see it: I mean, it's there in almost every line. It links right up to Isaiah 5:7-8 saying
God "will destroy on this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death for ever, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken."
This is a Messianic prophecy, and Bono is pitching it straight at the Muslims--- but in "parable" form, so it gets past external and internal censors.
Beautifully done. Watch it, and see if you can see it as a prayer.
