Let me beg to differ that one does not get into heaven by stuffing the “right doctrine” about Christ in their brain, either. That is a fleshly error. One gets into heaven by accepting the saving spirit of a Person. Jesus Christ. Even if the one doing the accepting is so far scramble minded that (to use a wild example) he thinks that this Jesus was incarnated as a lemon creme pie. Christ will clear all that up for him. To truly believe less is to demean the power of the actual Person, Jesus Christ.
You are being a little 'narrow' there...I don't believe a person will attain salvation if he believe that Jesus is a pie...Pies don't die on the cross for my sins...
And the doctrine of faith + works will not get you into heaven...And if you think those determinations come from the flesh, you haven't spent enough time in the bible...The wrong doctrines will definitely put one on the path to hell...
Rom_6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
1Ti_4:13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
2Ti_4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
