Two of the most senior Belgian clerics have voiced support for civil unions, but said the Church would not see such a partnership as a marriage, which they said was only between a man and a woman.

Archbishop André-Joseph Léonard, Archbishop of Brussels, made his comments through his spokesman in response to an interview by the Belgian newspaper De Tijd with his successor, Cardinal Godfried Danneels.

You cannot serve God and man. Their job is to serve God and fee his sheep, not to condone sodomy and immorality. If they cannot do this they need to leave the church.

“Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s, and unto God that which is God’s.”

If the government creates this fiction, we are commanded by God to pay taxes and to obey the law, which includes complying with any law to treat gay “marriage” as if it exists under the law. In all other aspects of our lives (which is almost everything, since the things that are God’s are without limit), our responsibility is to follow God’s word. Last I checked, scripture was quite clear on homosexuality.

This is from The Tablet (aka the Bitter Pill) — Britain’s answer to the National Schismatic Distorter.

Without independent confirmation, I’d take it with a grain of salt.

Not saying it’s not correct, but I am always wary reading from that source.
