Wow, did I make that claim? No I did not. I claimed that the death of Christ redeemed everyone but does not mean they will necessarily be saved. That is by the grace of Christ alone.

Does being Protestant necessarily mean you have known and rejected that what the Catholic Church teaches is true? Of course not. But if you once knew and believed and became Apostate then according to the Church you will go to hell. By the way this believing is much more than just going to Mass or even believing just some of what is taught. It means being fully convinced that all of what the Church teaches is true.

So in a nutshell, if one doesn't agree with the Catholic church in everything, they are going to hell.

Then that person isn't saved after all.

This idea that one can be saved and still go to hell is ridiculous.

What if someone chooses to believe God over the Catholic church? No heaven for them, eh?
