It means the Holy Spirit is the only intercessor and Jesus is the only way to God.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
That is yet another statement that leaves out Mary and the “saints.”
-—if you want to pray to God, pray in the name of Jesus. prayers to Mary are just wasted breath.
If the dead were in the business of intercessory prayer the Bible would have clearly told us. Nowhere in the Bible is there an example of a living man praying to a dead man. zip. nada. none.
“Tradition” is just made up foolishness and is not on par with scripture.
Good question, Cy. What it means is that Christ is the only, unique, singular and sufficient savior and mediator, and that we who are in Christ are all in living, vital, beneficial contact with each other, loving and praying for each other without ceasing --- precisely because we are living in Christ.
This is the very basis of the Communion of Saints.
Jesus, my Lord, my God, my all.
