What is wrong with the Catholic Church that this continues going on?

Can you point us to the threads where you've posed the same question about public education or the baptists or any of these protestants?

Do you accept everything you read on the internet as fact or do you reserve that only for select topics?

Big difference. Neither “public education” nor “the baptists” nor “these protestants” declare there is no salvation outside their particular area. None of them teach that they are the only way to God, and they have the ability to remit or retain the sins of the people. This is what makes the Catholic Church particularly odious regarding the ongoing sex abuse problems within her walls. She puts herself on a pedestal and then, when caught with her pants down, explains that she’s no different than “public education”or “the baptists” or “these protestants”. If you cannot understand the difference, you need to read your own church doctrine and see the hyprocracy contained within.

Hey, I started reading some of those on the religious links you gave...This was one of the first I came across...

MINNEAPOLIS, MN-An organization calling itself SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests) will file a lawsuit against an Episcopal priest who abused a California youngster years ago, and still serves in a parish today. David Clohessy, 46, a national director of SNAP told VIRTUOSITY that he could not name the priest pending the suit, but would release the name shortly. Clohessy did express one serious concern. "I fear that some 400 ex-Roman Catholic priests will surface in other denominations including the Episcopal Church." (Aug. 2, 2003)

I got a chuckle out of that...Did you???
