18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

Oh no I am so sorry to hear about your pup. If Halla does become blind, I do have some experience with a blind dog. My smallest Jack R has been totally blind since last year. he had had to have both eyes removed, the 2nd one came out yesterday. He has done fantastically well since being blind. He has learned his way around the house and yard just like when he could see. My prayers for you and your whole family during this troubled time.

Salamander, I fervently hope that your little Halla comes out of this problem. I'm wondering, did she bang her head a good one because her gait is already so imprecise? Could there be bleeding in the brain?

Hoping for a complete healing for your little girl. Been there, done that. Anyone who gives me that ol' "but it's an ANIMAL, not a child!" is an unthinking fool. For many of us, a pet is all that G-d granted us and they ARE our child.

I have no idea.

maybe because they don’t know what it is but it ‘looks neurological’, sort of?

I just don’t know what’s going on with her and frankly, for her sake, I’m terrified to try and wait out something in case time is an issue.

This poor little dog was SO damaged as a baby, there’s no real way of telling what’s going on in her.

Sometimes I wonder if I did wrong by keeping her from dying in the first place.

I’d *think* if was God’s will she died back then, she would’ve, no matter what.

I ~thought~ it was God’s will that she survived all that.

I guess I have to see what He’s got planned for her this time.

Partly, I’m broken because I go so far overboard taking care of my dogs that theoretically, they should never get sick or die and I keep wondering what did I “miss” or not do right.

“What more could I have done?” is always in my mind.

With her history of neonate head injuries, it’s possible.

Her PT/laser lady had other unbreakable commitments tonight but will be seeing her later this week as soon as she’s able.

I try so hard and get nowhere.

Everything I’ve loved most dearly is either old, sick or dead.

I’m very weary.

Thank you, Zin Girl.

For some good news, the slithery ones that had respiratory infections are doing much better.

I’m very grateful for that.

When I say I’m going to feed the critters, hubby is included in that so yeah, I reckon so...:)

I don’t deserve the friends I have here but I’m sure glad I have them.

Oh sweetie I understand. It’s not just a puppy it’s family.

I wish we humans could speak to our beloved animals so we would know when they hurt and we could help them like they help us when we are sick

Most dogs have zero reaction to it, but like any medication, some can have adverse reactions to something and others can have zero side effects..with our dog, he had bleeding, it was scary..thankfully they figured it out right away otherwise it could have been deadly for him. I guess it depends on the injury..did they do an MRI or XRAY to confirm if it was indeed a head injury? With Maxie since he tweaked his back the Vet said an xray would have been a total waste of time

Her eyes don’t focus well on near objects so yes, she bonks her head all the time.

I didn’t see the big bonk myself but hubby says it was really bad and very hard.

I did her crash in the yard..in fact, I was videoing her and Gypsy playing and got it recorded.

A terrible crash and then a bonk the next day.

I have to tell myself that those are the likely cause since the alternatives are pretty dreadful.
