That was the only laugh I’d had all day.

Thank you for the concern. This is not the first child we have lost. Been there before, so we know the drill. Hold fast to the One who has the power to get you through the valleys.

Really?

*I* only sleep on my left side!

If accidentally roll over and don’t wake up instantly, I’m
-wrecked- the whole next day.

Neck ‘seizes up’ something terrible.

[a crummy chiro rally messed it up *even worse* for me a couple years ago]

Mine started clear back in 1985 when my ex fractured my neck refused to let me have it treated for fear he’d be arrested.

Sometimes I look like the town drunk.

Odin, the boy Dobe has been taught to plant his feet and brace himself against my hip when I start to act wobbly.

One night, right before Christmas, I went “post turtle” in a Best Buy and everybody just stepped over or around me.

Not one single ‘gentleman’ even offered to help me up.

I pulled myself, hand over hand up the shelves.

Took me a good 10 minutes and at least 20 people just walked right by.

You are wounded right now, but the Lord will hold you up and the sun will shine again. The creative God of the Universe knows how to fill vacuums. We thank Him for loaning such wonderful children to us for as long as we could have them. Our life would have been poorer without them even for a day. We are grateful for the years and the happy memories. I am asking the Lord to give you hope and a peace within as you care for the ones who depend on you.

If you have an inkling that she has nausea/and may be getting dizzy at times I had a vet tell me it was ok to give her Dramamine.(a rescue I had for 20 months before she had to be put down) Its good for nausea which keeps one from eating and could explain why she bumps into things....It is save for dogs and see if that makes any difference.....hope things get better for you and your loved ones, 2 or 4 legged...

I thought of that too but I’m not sure how it would interact with the meds they’ve given her.

She’s taking Rimadyl and Pregabalin, both of which make her drowsy.

I don’t know if Dramamine makes dogs sleepy but the stuff knocks me out.

I will call tomorrow morning and ask the vet.

Thanks for the kind thoughts, GG.

Oh my! Babe, when you get through all this, come down here and I will take you to a man who can do miracles with his hands. He does touch therapy and can seem to find the places that need “touched” or “stretched”. He did something to my leg that has pained me for over a year and it just let go of the pain. He’s also working on my neck nerves.

She is only 7 months old and I dearly want her to grow old with me.

It's funny with dogs. I have a sweet 8 year old dog and an obnoxious 6 month old puppy. It would hurt just as much to lose my young pup as to lose my older girl. Dogs own you immediately.

Prayers for you and your pup.

I would so love to do that!

Hubby knew a guy up in Cumberland who did the same thing and he was magic!

We’ve lost his number though in the passing years and I can’t recall his name, even.

Darn it.

LOL! “Post turtle”. I can’t believe men would step over you, Sal, but I’ll take your word for it. Many people are walking about so blind and benumbed these days. All they seem to focus on are their cell phones and the next text message.

Odin sounds like God’s gift for the wobbly!

Night time prayers for you and your little one. I pray Halla will be “coming around” sometime tomorrow. I’ll be back on here around lunchtime.

Please try and rest, dear Sal.

Goodnight & God bless.

Darling you know that wasn't my intention.

Your story of Halla and personal tribulations have touched our hearts, and they have become our own.

I hope with the new day, Halla finds a comforting sun spot and a renewal of health and bouncing happiness.

Hope you get some rest for yourself, dear 'Mander and find solace that we're all pulling for you and Halla.
