It depends on whether you think that the doctrine of the Trinity is something upon which people of good faith can disagree, or not.
If the latter, then I do agree with Ingersoll.

Do you folks really believe what Mr. Ingersoll says in this quote ? I took it as an ironic and humorous post on the absurdity of using a doctrine developed over hundreds of years as a criteria for salvation.
