The Jews *did* choose to live in Poland in large numbers, because Poland (before it was divided and taken over in the 18th C) was more tolerant toward Jews than were most other European nations.
I’ve just read that the number of people who identify themselves as Jews in Poland has increased eightfold in recent years. Explain that Poland haters!
