How sad.

Matthew 6:7 - But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

That’s all I ever see from Catholics. That rote recital of repetitive words is somehow supposed to be prayer? How about going before the Father in Jesus name in your own words asking for His guidance and praising Him in your own words?

So tell me. Why do you have a problem with the Nicene Creed? Is it vain repetition too?

For the edification of us catholics, it would be informative and most appreciated if some of you could respond with an example of your daily prayers and readings. Perhaps we can better dialogue on the use of a Bible in daily life. Pax et Bonum
