Far too many church attendees have dropped their attendance because they began thinking that churches were supposed to "entertain" them rather than edify and proclaim Jesus and salvation only through His sacrifice for their sin.

It's sad but parents aren't placing God before sports for their children nor themselves. When times really get tough, we can't look to the coaches or our favorite team for help.

God doesn't force Himself on us. It's truly sad that we usually have to go through a crisis, with no where left to turn befor we turn to Him.

Pretty much covers it.

Families use to get together for dinner as well.....everything in town was closed then...people made certain they stocked up for week-ends...if they weren't with the family it really was generally a day of kicking back....and then we wonder today why peoples life and jobs are so stressful....there's never a day to recover.
