Certain people are simply damned no matter what they do. You know that. St. Augustine says that, John Calvin says that, the bible says that. Very few-according to Jesus-are going to heaven. You had better worry about your odds of getting there as the probability of going to heaven is very low.(The meaning of Christs own words). How can you be sure your belief is sufficient as not everyone saying Lord! Lord! is going to enter heaven.

When read closely Christianity is not a happy religion. It worships and advocates pain, agony, suffering, cuts, bruises, beatings. burnings, misery, disease, hunger, cruel and vicious deaths with eternal suffering thereafter.

" Certain people are simply damned no matter what they do "

No one is dammed for placing their trust, hope, faith in Jesus Christ.

Did you read the proceding verses before when Jesus said that many will comes to him and say " LORD LORD " ?

same chapter,

Matthew 7

13. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Let the bible reveal what the bible say, or let the bible interpret what the bible says.

What does Jesus mean by " enter there ye in the at the strait gate " the narrow gate ?

The bible says, not man, the bible says...

John 10:9 " I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. "

What was Jesus talking about those who will say " LORD LORD " on judgement day ?

He was simply talking about those LAW preaching, very religious folks who went to chruch, but never knew Christ, and God's grace.

You know ?

Those who say they read the bible , who go to church, all religious, but, have no " RELATIONSHIP " with Jesus Christ.

Jesus was talking about all the unsaved, i.e. born again people who will be sent to hell.

we don’t know the percentage if who will go to heaven and who will not. But for the sake of discussion let’s go with your statements that very few will go to heaven. The ‘default’ condition for man is hell or separation from God. Without God’s intervention separation from God is the natural state of what happens to every man. So God intervenes in some fashion and as a result some are allowed to go to heaven. It’s His rules and His game. Is the glass half empty or half full?

I would say that even if only one human being was allowed to go to heaven and live forever with God that that is an incredible miracle. I also think some of this comes down to perspective - God-centered vs man-centered. A man-centered view often seems to be that man somehow deserves to go to heaven or that it is not fair if all men do not go to heaven etc. It is impossible to really know a God-centered view but when I try I can imagine that a perfect God would have greater concerns that ensuring every sinful creature is in Heaven. we all should be thankful we were even born and not aborted.
