Then you need to keep searching, and step back and look at the greater context. You should be able to say like Paul, "Neither life nor death nor.... shall separate us from the love of God. For I know whom I have believed and He is able to keep that which I've committed unto Him against that day."
Paul's faith wasn't in Paul's ability to keep faith, or Paul's works. Paul's faith was in God's ability. When you understand that, you'll be able to take the verses that indicate once saved always saved at face value. And you'll be able to see the real context of the verses that would seem to contradict that view.
Sir, I am not going to get into a long, drawn-out debate with you or anyone else about this doctrine. I will say this much: I read Scripture, I do keep searching and, based on my studies and meditations, this doctrine does NOT line up with Scripture, period. I understand what you’re trying to tell but I’ve heard all the arguments for this doctrine and, based on my CONTINUED studies in the Scriptures, they are not persuasive.
But, I appreciate your concern though. Thank you.
