According to the prophecy of Daniel (chapter seven), the antichrist is to be the last of a long line of military conquerors. The precedent was set by Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon who conquered the known world. Then came the Persian kings who did the same. Then came Alexander the Great who did the same. Then came the pagan Roman empire with its Caesars followed by the so called “Holy” Roman Empire and its emperors...like Charlemagne and Napoleon.

Does Obama fit the bill? I don’t think so. He’s not European (Roman), he’s not of the Holy Roman Empire tradition like the antichrist’s predecessors Charlemagne and Napoleon, for instance. He’s not Catholic, if anything more like Muslim.

As to military conqueror, being an American president he hardly qualifies. America, unlike Rome, unlike the antichrist’s predecessors, the Caesars, Holy Roman Empire emperors, has not fought wars of conquest. If Obama has military conquest on his mind, it hasn’t shown its hand yet. We’ll see what he does with the North Korea threat.

Does the national backround of the anti-christ make a difference?
