Seems like there are plenty of FR newbies just lining up to bash ol' Ann. I notice none of you bother to counter her assertions - you just say "she is so mean!"

If you haven't bothered to read Ann's stuff, or know anything about her, let me give you a clue: she walks the walk, first of all, which is to say that she isn't just saying we should do this or that, she is doing it.

Second, she is deliberately blunt, because she seems to feel that capitulation, wishy-washiness, and lukewarm belief are some of the great plagues of our time, and the reason the Enemy is winning. The screeching I see from people on this thread seems to come mostly with the discomfort that blunt truth often brings. We'd all like to believe that everything is OK, and get upset when someone says, "Nope, things are horrible. We need to do something."

Lastly, Ann is fighting the good fight. I don't know if she is right about this particular issue, but on any given day, Ann is worth at least 10 of you conflict-averse newbies.
